FEAR of Vomiting

I recently heard a great acronym for emetophobia, or the fear of vomiting. As I have discussed before, a phobia by definition is an irrational fear of something. Your brain has been conditioned through extreme circumstances to fear vomit, as a part of a natural reaction to protect you from previous traumatic experiences.

The only problem is that the circumstances that caused you to fear vomiting is that they were incorrectly interpretted by your brain. Meaning the cause-and-effect

Emetophobia Forums Won’t Help You Cure Emetophobia
[info]steverikard
That is a little bit of a bold statement I just made: “Emetophobia forums won’t help you cure emetophobia.”

I believe there is a large danger involved in heavy participation on emetophobia forums. To be more accurate, this danger exists in any sympathy-heavy environment in which emetophobes interact, but online forums are perhaps the most prominent example of this. Surely forums and similar interactions can be beneficial to your struggle with emetophobia, but I want to also make you

Feeling alone can be one of the biggest struggles when dealing with emetophobia, or any other phobia. It can be extremely helpful to be able to identify or interact with others like you. Because of that, many emetophobes love to read blogs or take part in online communities with other people suffering from emetophobia. It can be both encouraging and inspiring.

The following is a list of 8 of our favorite emetophobia blogs that we hope you will also enjoy and can get something out

Why We D*n't Censor the W*rd 'Vomit'
[info]steverikard
I have been told by several people before that they didn't like the fact that our blog does not censor the word vomit, sick, nausea, or several other words.

If you are not familar with this concept, many websites about emetophobia substitute censored symbols for common emetophobia "trigger words". Here are example of several common censorships:

vomiting = v*ing
sick = s*
nauseous = n*

There is actually a reason that we do not use this kind of censorship here at Emetophobia

My Emetophobia Recovery System Review
[info]steverikard

The Emetophobia Recovery System by Rich Presta has a fairly large reputation amongst online emetophobia communities. You may have seen or heard of it before, but may have overlooked it because buying something like this online has a bit of a stigma too it. I personally own a copy of the Emetophobia Recovery System and believe that you could benefit from a little more information about the product.

These are three of the biggest pros from my Emetophobia Recovery system Review

What most stands out about the Emetophobia Recovery System is how truly “tailored” it is to emetophobia. Emetophobia is an uncommon enough fear that many therapists approach it in a cookie-cutter fashion without having any detailed training or experience with it.  This is not the case with Rich’s product. Rich is an internationally recognized expert in this field and also worked alongside other researchers and practitioners to create this product. Rich and his products have been featured in the likes of Psychology Today and Natural Health magazines, Discovery Health, CNN, and the New York Times.

Another thing that I like about the Emetophobia Recovery System is that it does not require a long term commitment to therapist or medicine. You can avoid having weekly or monthly therapist bills, or having to rely upon drugs for years.  If you have to continually rely on one of those, then you haven’t truly cured yourself, but are only treating the symptoms for the short-term.

Finally, the price and support are unbeatable. The one time price that you would pay for this product is comparable to what you might pay a therapist HOURLY, and less than you would spend if you were on long term medicine to combat emetophobia. Not to mention, you get a 60 day money back guarantee with no questions asked.
